Mengungkap Rahasia Dalam Shalat Perspektif Syekh Ibnu ‘Athaillah Agil Gibran Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Majene, Indonesia Abstract This research discusses the importance of prayer in preventing vile deeds according to Ibn 'Athaillah in his book Tajul 'Arus. Prayer, etymologically meaning "supplication," and terminologically referring to activities with prescribed pillars and recitations at specific times. Prayer is also understood as reverence and purification to Allah. Ibn 'Athaillah in Tajul 'Arus asserts the benefits of prayer through a narrative indicating that prayer not only prevents vile deeds but also calms the heart and brings contentment with Allah. Additionally, prayer serves as a place of supplication and purification of the heart. Quranic verses also emphasize the importance of prayer in a Muslim's life.
